Bethany Wharrie was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 2008, she graduated from Denison University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Sports Management. In 2012, Bethany graduated, cum laude and in the top 12% of her class, from Stetson University College of Law. During law school, she received numerous awards for attaining the highest grade in the class, including the Victor O. Wehle award for excellence in Trial Advocacy. In addition, Bethany interned for Justice James E. C. Perry at the Florida Supreme Court and for Judge Edward C. LaRose at Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal.
Bethany specializes in medical malpractice and long-term care litigation. She has successfully defended numerous healthcare providers and healthcare facilities, from pre-suit investigations to jury trial. In addition, she has helped healthcare organizations with litigation prevention and legal compliance issues. Bethany has traveled all over the country speaking to providers and organizations about risk management, patient safety and litigation prevention.
Bethany is licensed to practice law in all Florida state courts. She is also a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association.
